Internships

Are you a college or graduate student in the Los Angeles area looking for school credit and are interested in English, the arts, video editing, history, performance, social media, graphic design, outreach, or live events? Apply to be a WORDTheatre Intern! We offer internships year-round – fall semester, spring semester, and in the summer – and in the following categories:

-AUDIO / VIDEO EDITING
Audio/Video Editing Interns will help ready WordTheatre’s audio and video library, comprised of over 1200 stories, written by world class contemporary authors and performed by esteemed actors in LA, NY & London, for our weekly podcasts, branding campaigns and perhaps most importantly our WORDTheatre Campus program. In addition to audio and video editing, interns will be listening to the stories and writing promotional blurbs, archiving event photographs, and organizing our archive of the past 20 years of stories and performances. Our interns also may be asked to research and help write podcast introductions and postscripts. Interns need to be experienced with Premier Pro and Pro-Tools.

-LITERARY RESEARCH
Literary Research Interns are passionate about literature, history, and music who are excited by the opportunity to find material in order to help craft an original piece of live theatre. The Literary Research Interns will help research and compile historical events, facts, and stories to incorporate into our upcoming live shows.

-SOCIAL MEDIA / GRAPHICS
Social Media / Graphics Interns will help create campaigns to market WORDTheatre’s upcoming events, including our 20th Anniversary Celebrations in Los Angeles, New York, and London. Additionally, interns will be engaging in graphic design, scheduling social media posts, editing various images and photographs, and overall help expand the outreach of WORDTheatre and its work in the community.

-DEVELOPMENT
Development Interns will train and work closely with WORDTheatre’s Executive Director, helping to design and implement development initiatives to raise funds for this esteemed non-profit organization.
